Another Delay of Game

5 Yard Penalty.

Oops. I must have watched too much football. (It was the Super Bowl yesterday.)

But if you couldn’t tell, I didn’t work on my game over the weekend. I was busy with this whole XNA thing. Rest assured, though, I’ll be back to the game soon. And yes, I’m still planning on using XNA.

I don’t like that I’ve now had two delays like this. But when you’re sick, you’re sick. And on top of that, I feel like I have a bigger role in responding to the XNA thing than your average game programmer. So I feel like it is appropriate for me to help lay the groundwork for the next stage of the game right now, instead of making a game. The chances of something like this happening again (or at all) are pretty crazy. So for those of you who are interested in seeing how my game progresses, stay tuned. I’ll likely get back to that in time for the upcoming weekend.

In the mean time, I’ve done quite a bit of work in making my tutorials available through MonoGame. There’s a ton more to do, but I wanted to get a start on it to help others who are trying to analyze MonoGame at this point in time. Interestingly, after only a couple of days, I’m already at the top of Page 2, if you do a Google search for MonoGame tutorials. I guess Google approves of the time and effort I put into my XNA tutorials.

If anyone is going through those tutorials, I’d love to hear how it goes for you.

Well, I was extremely cold with monogame after my inability to even make it work, reading your tutorials showed me it’s basically… a kind of XNA which is still under development. So I will seriously think on moving to it if the time comes.

Yet another enlightenment supplied by RB, the friendly developer of the neighbourhood 🙂
