What Happens to the Game Now

This is my first of two posts about what happens here now, after being away for so many months. Today, I’m going to talk about what happens with the game. Later, I’ll talk about what happens with this website.

I had a lot of fun building my game, and things crumbled at the finish line. There’s a big part of me that says that I should go for revenge. Spend a few days and tackle this thing. Finish it up.

It’s a bit of a coincidence, but I’m sitting here listening to the music that was going to go into my game as I write this. It brings back memories. It brings back a bit of pain, and definitely some nostalgia.

I’d like to finish it, if for no other reason than to not leave a worthy challenge unfinished.

But another part of me says that my game has played it’s roll. There may (I sincerely hope) be a time and a place in the future to finish my game. But I don’t think that time and place is here and now.

I think it’s time for me to take what I did and set it aside. Not to be discarded, but put on a shelf in a place where I can frequently look back at what I accomplished.

I think it’s time for me to move forward and move on to the next big project. (And there are plenty.)

Wow. That was a hard post to write.
